April 1st…a FRESH new month! :)

So tomorrow starts a new month..which always gives me GREAT motivation to start fresh myself!  I’ve done some ‘playing around’ over the past few months with different eating styles, the most recent being Atkins…and although I DID lose about 10 pounds over the course of about 5 weeks…I never felt like it was something I could do forever.

So, I’m going back to what I KNOW works for me…and thats simply, counting calories. 

I have a few vacations to look forward to, and overall want to just feel more STABLE about my weight…its such a time consuming thing to be sitting there thinking about food, what to eat, what not to eat, etc. all the time….So my goal is to FIGURE THIS OUT…and move forward to my ‘happy weight’….

I hope everyone is doing well…..and I hope to find some motivation buddies who will help me reach my goal…:)

I’m back people!! :)

Hello buddies!! Long time no see!! :) So, I’ve been gone for quite some time, but I’m back and ready to go!  My weight has basically stayed the same for the past, oh, 6 months….which is pretty disturbing to me..but I’m ready to make that change and watch it disappear!:)

I hope everyone is having a great week!!! And I look forward to meeting new buddies to help motivate me to lose these last 15-20 pounds!!!!!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend…and are all ready to make this week GREAT! :)

Last week my worries were that the weekend would ‘kick my butt’ when it came to eating junk…and I am SO SO SO proud to say that I kept it UNDER CONTROL, and at my weigh in this morning, was down 2 pounds for the week! :)  WAHOOO…

I’m smiling today, not only because I saw the scale go down, but because I proved to myself that if you WANT to make something happen (or not happen, like over eating on the weekends), all it takes is some determination, and willpower….:)

I wish you all a fabulous Monday….my goal for today is to not complain about a THING….instead, I’m going to take steps to fix the things that I am unhappy with….lots of small steps will bring us miles and miles!!

I love you ‘weekend’, but STOP making me fat! :)

Good Morning buddies!

If you are anything like me, you find the weekends to be the HARDEST as far as sticking to HEALTHY eating….theres something about 2 days off from work that makes me want to eat fatty foods…and that makes me down right mad!

So, because my weigh in day is Monday, I REFUSE to let this weekend get the best of me.  I refuse to go to bed Sunday night and feel mad at myself for over eating….

Instead, I will try to stay as busy as possible for the next few days…cleaning our home, perhaps organizing my closet, getting outside (although its -12 degrees here right now)….

So WHO’S WITH ME??? :)  Lets all try to REALLY enjoy this weekend, and NOT extra food!! :)

Show the world what you’re truly made of!! :)

So this morning I read my daily horoscope (I only read it for fun…and sometimes think WOW, this is a good one)..and it said “Go out and show the world what you’re truly made of!”

It made me smile… and I am hoping it does the same for all of YOU! 

Lets all take a deep breath, and remember how GREAT it will feel to reach our goals…no matter WHAT they are….we are worth it, we CAN do it, we WILL do it! 

So come on, lets go show this world what we’re made of!! :)

Lets make today count!!!

Good Morning Buddies!!! :)

I’m starting my morning sitting in my office sipping on a delicious coffee and nibbling on some fresh pineapple that I sliced and froze last night (frozen fruit takes so much longer to eat…) :)

Today my vow to myself, is that I’m going to make this day COUNT.  This most likely takes on different meanings for different people…but to me, it means that I vow to:

…Have a day filled with productivity at my office

…Not let anything or anyone change my FABULOUS mood

…stick to MY eating plan…no matter what delicious foods cross my path today

…Visualize the scale….and keep in mind how AMAZING it feels to see those numbers get lower and lower

 So, whatever would make this day COUNT for you, PLEASE do it…otherwise we’ll go through our day like any other random day, missing opportunities, taking things for granted, and once again going to sleeping thinking ‘this wasn’t a great day’. 

Have a wonderful day buddies!!  We can reach our goals…we are SOOOO worth it!!:)

Week One

Today is the start of my week one…I have 12 weeks of weight loss ahead of me….my goal is to be down to 120 by April 15th.  I’ve been within 5 lbs of my current weight for a LOOONG time now, and its just frustrating to ‘keep starting over’. 

This is my time though….and I’m going to attack it with PATIENCE and take it one day at a time. I’m going to track my food, my exercise, and ‘visualize’ the scale in my mind….because lets admit it, it feels AMAZING to see that scale getting lower and lower. :) 

I hope you are all finding strength in today….we are worth it! :)

Hello wonderful buddies!!! :)

I hope your Thursday is a FABULOUS one!!  Today is a good day for me, i’m feeling positive, strong, and confident that i’m still heading in the right direction.  In the past, I found myself making excuses, such as “I am too tired to work out”, “I feel a cold coming on”, “I deserve this piece of chocolate cake”, “I haven’t had fast food in sooo long, I should have some”….but NO MORE!!

If we continue to make excuses for ourselves, we may never reach our goals.  So, take those excuses, and toss them out the window and focus on what you CAN DO, what you WILL DO for yourself.  One day at a time. :)

Good luck today everyone, remeber to keep your head up, no matter what…we can do this!!

What are YOUR reasons?

Happy Wednesday everyone!!  I’m having another great day here…staying on my eating plan, and feeling good!! :)

So, I was thinking about my reasons for wanting to lose the weight once and for all….and came up with this list…

*I just want to FEEL better….not to sound selfish, but I want to feel better physically….I want to have more energy, better skin, less stress..and I truely believe if I can cut out the JUNK in my diet, I can have this…

*I want to LOOK better…does anyone else want to reach through the TV and slap the celebrities they show prancing around on the beach in the teeny weeny swimsuits!! :)  I don’t want to be UBER thin…but I want to have the confidence to PRANCE on the beach…haha…

 No matter what your reasons are….remember how short life is, and how quickly time passes….we need to take care of ourselves NOW….so we have no regrets as time goes on.

Hello Buddies!! I hope the new year finds you all well and confident in yourselves!!

I am a week into starting this new journey of mine..to once and for all get down to my ideal weight.  As I reported in the past, I’ve given myself until April 15th…which makes losing 20 lbs TOTALLY do-able and TOTALLY healthy. 

I am DONE trying ‘fad’ diets…I am DONE looking for the quick fix…because the truth is, there IS NO QUICK FIX.  I am using my knowledge of food and how food addiction works to retrain my brain.  And…so far, so good! :) 

I hope everyone is staying positive and confident!!  You are SO WORTH IT!!!  Lets all just take a deep breath, and say LETS DO THIS!!! :)
